I know it sounds cliche, but I truly speak from experience when I say that this time with your little ones goes by so dang fast. Before you know it, your baby bump turned baby is suddenly getting ready to start school. How did that even happen??!
I know many mama's are like me; they have a million photos of their children and their partner, but only about 2 unflattering selfies of themselves in a photo with their children. Let's change that by taking some intentional photos of you together, because you're such an important part of their story.

Meet Amanda
I'm a creative, mama to a toddler, cat and dog, and wife to an Irishman. I had my son at the end of 2023, and what a ride this whole motherhood journey has been! I have grown in so many ways since becoming a mother, and this is also true for my love of photography.
After having my son, the importance of documenting life around me only grew. I just love love love getting the opportunity to document these beautiful and challenging moments of motherhood for other families. The best part of my job is getting to meet all of my wonderful clients, hear their stories, and watch as their family's grow and change over time.
My love of travel, adventure and the outdoors, combined with my fine arts background allow me to document your family with an emotional, storytelling approach blended with a cinematic and documentary style. I am always striving to capture emotion and depth in your images, instead of perfectly posed, smiling faces.
Photographing motherhood and families is my passion, and I can’t wait to share that passion with you!

- I'm a mom. I've experienced pregnancy, post-partum life with a newborn, and family life with a little one. All of this allows me to relate with those I'm photographing.
- Fine Arts background: I have a BFA in Fine Arts, where I studied photography and other mediums. I have taken many photography education courses outside of university too!
- I'm outdoorsy and up for any family adventures that you have in mind!
- I'm great at keeping people feeling relaxed: I'm told again and again by my couples how relaxed and easy I made everything for them.

I help craft sessions that leave lots of time to relax and breathe; I specialize in documentary photography, which means capturing authentic moments. I'll give direction as needed, and space when it isn't.
I sure do! My typical coverage area is in the Ottawa region of Ontario, including towns like Perth, Carleton Place, Kemptville, Manotick, etc. but I'm an adventurer at heart. I am always looking forward to my next adventure so would love to hear about what you have in mind.

I typically recommend doing your maternity session between 28-35 weeks of pregnancy. This ensures that you'll likely have a pretty big bump by then, but hopefully still be relatively comfortable to move around a bit.
