Extras to add on:
Cozy In-home session vibes, in an elevated space. The beautifully styled rooms make the perfect backdrop for these sessions. You'll be able to choose between the Rose Room or the Charlotte Room for your session, and we have many areas of the house available to wander through for photos. Plus, you don't have to worry about cleaning your house for photos either ;)
An elevated space
Intentional photos with a natural feel to them. This isn't a mini session; You have time to slow down and simply relax with your little one (or bump!). I'll give gentle direction, with lots of time for snuggles, feeds, etc. to happen naturally. I also provide a session guide specifically for these sessions, with tips on wardrobe, preparing, etc. You'll walk away with beautiful, candid and natural photos of quality time with you little one, photos that actually have you in them.
Intentional Photography with Guidance
Maple & Rose is so beyond what a regular photography studio is. There are two different rooms we'll be using for your session, plus a private room you can use to change, nurse/feed, diaper change, or whatever it is you need to do to get ready for your session. Snacks, tea & coffee are also provided, and relaxing before/after your session is encouraged!

Arrive at least 10 minutes early for your session. There will be a room for you to change clothes, nurse, change baby, or do whatever it is you need to do before your session begins. Your session will be in one of the beautiful bedrooms at Maple & Rose and last up to 40 minutes. We'll move at you and baby's pace, for a relaxed session. Your gallery will be ready within 3 weeks.
By the beginning of April, you will receive a session guide from me, specifically written for these Motherhood Sessions. The guide includes outfit inspiration, tips, and general photography guidance.

I know it sounds cliche, but I truly speak from experience when I say that this time with your little ones goes by so dang fast. Before you know it, your baby bump turned baby is suddenly getting ready to start school. How did that even happen??!
I know many mama's are like me; they have a million photos of their children and their partner, but only about 2 unflattering selfies of themselves in a photo with their children.

Meet Amanda
I'm a creative, mama to a toddler, cat and dog, and wife to an Irishman. I had my son at the end of 2023, and what a ride this whole motherhood journey has been! I have grown in so many ways since becoming a mother, and this is also true for my love of photography.
Being a mom myself allows me to relate with those I'm photographing; I've experience pregnancy, birth, postpartum and new parenthood. I get the ups and downs that come with becoming a mom. And I also notice little details while I'm photographing, that others might not.
I have a BFA in Fine Arts, where I studied photography and other mediums. I have taken many photography education courses outside of university too!
I'm also great at keeping people feeling relaxed and calm: I'm told again and again by my clients how relaxed and easy I made everything for them.
